Riverside's International Food Festival: A Flavorful Weekend to Remember
This past weekend, the historic downtown Riverside transformed into a bustling hub of culinary delights and vibrant festivities. The International Food Festival, held on July 28th and 29th, brought together a diverse array of food vendors, live entertainment, and a joyous community atmosphere on Mission and Orange Street. Hosted by @Internationalfoodfestivals and @Familymarketco, and partnered with @whats_up_inland_empire and @thehoodfoodie, the event was nothing short of spectacular.
A Feast for the Senses
The festival showcased an incredible variety of food from some of the best vendors around:
- @Smokey_steves_smokehouse: Serving up mouth-watering smoked meats.
- @Valleyfusions: Known for their innovative fusion dishes.
- @Jamaicalove_food: Bringing the flavors of the Caribbean.
- @Eat_my_wiener_: Offering gourmet hot dogs.
- @Tikkahaven: Specializing in delicious Indian tikka dishes.
- @mexicandelightss: Celebrating Mexican cuisine.
- @Rubys_ice_cream: Cooling things down with handcrafted ice cream.
- @Rosas.churros.california: Delightful churros that were a hit among attendees.
- @westcoasthibachi: Serving up sizzling hibachi meals.
This is just a taste of the many vendors that participated, each adding their unique flavor to the festival.
Capturing the Moments
I had the privilege of attending this amazing event with my good friend Alexander Orozco, better known as @thehoodfoodie. Together, we captured the vibrant atmosphere, the delightful food, and the wonderful people who made the festival a memorable experience. The community of Riverside welcomed us warmly, and the energy was ON 10.
Highlights and Headliners
One of the standout moments of the festival was the Saturday night performance by the legendary Temptations. "It is just something about the nostalgia of 'Papa Was a Rolling Stone'," said Michael from Family Market Co. Their performance brought a sense of nostalgia and joy to the crowd, making the night unforgettable.
The festival also featured a lively carnival and a beer garden, adding even more fun and excitement to the weekend. Families and friends enjoyed the rides, games, and a variety of craft beers, creating a perfect blend of entertainment for all ages.
Looking Forward
As we reflect on this incredible event, one can't help but wonder how they plan to top it next year. The second annual International Food Festival set a high bar, but with the passion and creativity of the organizers and the support of the Riverside community, there's no doubt that future festivals will continue to impress.
Until then, let’s cherish the memories made, the delicious food enjoyed, and the connections forged. Stay blessed and stay organically yourself.
